Rare pair of antique porcelain figurines Volkstedt-Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany, circa 1762–1800
A charming and rare pair of 18th-century porcelain figurines representing a gallant gentleman and lady in period attire. Produced by the renowned Volkstedt-Rudolstadt manufactory in Thuringia, one of the oldest porcelain factories in Europe. The figures display elegant Rococo influence with fine modelling, expressive gestures, and delicate hand-painted decoration with warm patina tones.
The gentleman is depicted in a classic coat with detailed buttons, while the lady wears a traditional dress with refined folds and bonnet. Both figures stand on shaped bases with subtle gilded accents.
