Vintage silver-plated apostolic spoons with Sugar Tongs
A set of vintage silver-plated spoons. The spoons are made in England, Sheffield. The spoons are in excellent vintage condition, I think the spoons have never been used (see photo).
The length of the spoon is approximately 12 cm (4.7 inches).

An interesting English tradition is apostolic spoons as a christening gift. In the 15th century, silver spoons began to be made in Europe, the cuttings of which were decorated with images of Christ, the Virgin or the apostles. By the 16th century, they had become a popular christening gift, and the custom lasted until the 20th century
