Vintage silver-plated Apostolic Spoons 11+4
A set of vintage silver-plated spoons 11+4 pieces (the spoons are very similar, but slightly different). The spoons are in good vintage condition, there are minor scratches (see photo).
The length of the spoon is approximately 12 cm (4.7 inches).
An interesting English tradition is the apostolic spoons as a christening gift. In the 15th century, silver spoons began to be made in Europe, the cuttings of which were decorated with images of Christ, the Virgin or the apostles. By the 16th century, they had become a popular christening gift, and the custom lasted until the 20th century.
